Art Realm ’26 Biennial to take place in Tampere and Pirkanmaa in summer 2026. The call for artists and artworks for the Art Realm ’26 Biennial will be open from February 17 to March 31, 2025.

An information session and panel discussion on the biennial theme, “Together,” will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Culture House Laikku in Tampere. The event will be conducted partly in a hybrid format.
Info Session and Panel on the Theme on Friday, February 21, 12:00–17:00 in Tampere
The info session will take place in the Culture House Laikku (address Keskustori 4) on Friday, February 21, from 12:00 to 16:00.
Advance registration is required for in-person attendance and will be open until February 17 via the link at the bottom of this page.
The info session from 12:00 to 13:30 can also be followed on the YouTube channel of the Public Cultural Services. The YouTube link is provided at the bottom of this page. Please note that the session will not be moderated or recorded. The session will be held in Finnish.

12:00–13:30: Information on the biennial theme, the call for artworks, application criteria, and exhibition venues.
The latest updates on the artist and artwork call as well as the exhibition venues will be shared. This information will also be updated on this website.
13:30–14:00: Coffee break and networking
14:00–16:00: Panel discussion
The second part of the info session, a panel discussion focusing on the biennial theme, will only be available for in-person attendees. The panel will feature external experts, including:
Mikko Dufva, Lead Specialist at Sitra Jussi Koitela, Executive Director at M-Cult Päiviö Maurice Omwami, Curator and Researcher at the Finnish Museum of Photography Pauliina Pesonen, Curator, Researcher, and Visual Artist Meriam Trabelsi, Activist, Artist, and DJ.
16:20–17:00: Site Visit at the TR1 Building (address Väinö Linnan aukio 13)
After the info session, participants will have the opportunity to visit the upcoming exhibition spaces in the Finlayson area. We will walk together from Laikku to Finlayson starting at 16:10.
